The Kinderhook Elks welcomed Veterans from the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center for another morning of fishing at the home of local resident John DeLong, who, once again, graciously offered the use of his pond.

The sun was shining and the fish seemed keen to catch a few rays by being hauled out on the end of a line. There was some debate as to who reeled in the biggest catch but there were a two anglers that caught six-a-piece.

Once the fishing was over, everyone made their way back to the Lodge pavilion for lunch where Charlie, Larry, Skip and Ida had laid on a barbecue. John Deane entertained us with a selection of tunes from our younger days.

After lining up for a group photo, they boarded their buses for the ride back to Albany.
