I hope you all have/had a wonderful Easter. We have had some amazing turnouts for breakfast, and I would like to thank any and all of you who helped out or came out to support the Lodge effort.
This is the changeover month. We are still in need of officers to help move us forward. I think I have typed that sentence way too often. Thinking of stepping up? Ask questions, get involved. I've been here for 16 years, and I don't know or understand how everything works, but we live and learn along the way.
I love the fact of members old and new stepping up and making things happen, bringing new ideas to the table and putting them into action. The March Mac Madness was fabulous, my only regret is I didn't order a second meal. Kelly is making things happen on Sunday's and I see Tammy and Eric's name on the calendar too.
Spring is playing hide and seek, however when she does finally decide to stay, we are going to need some help with planting the flowers, cleaning up the yard, mulching and general clean up and fix up. We have been working on replacing the steps in the front of the Lodge. The handrails are not as sturdy as they once were, and the concrete is breaking away. If at all possible, please try and use the other entryways for everyone's safety.
Friendly reminder dues are due. We lose members every year for failure to pay their membership dues. I you haven't done so please get them in ASAP. You can mail them, stop in for a beverage or a meal and pay in person, I'll even come pick them up locally if needed.
