The hot days of summer are upon us. However, that is not stopping us from doing all the great work that is being done for our community and at our lodge! We had an exciting month filled with rentals, a member activity, and the formation of a new committee.
We are excited to introduce our kitchen committee, made up of Chuck Cotsonas, Rick LaCrosse, and me. Together, we will manage food, inventory, and the shopping. For more details, please refer to this newsletter.
The end of the 25-week club party was a success! Thank you to everyone who played a vital role in buying or selling tickets, working on the team, and preparing the food. Together, we welcomed 136 guests to celebrate this achievement. Tickets for the 2026 event are now available for purchase.

It was truly heartwarming for the lodge to host the Albany VA Hospital veterans' luncheon. The veterans enjoyed engaging in games, with pool and shuffleboard as their top choices. They savored a picnic lunch followed by a delightful "make your own ice cream sundae" activity, all while John Deane played uplifting music in the pavilion. Their appreciation and excitement were palpable, making the day even more memorable.
In July and August, we don't have a meeting on the second Monday of the month. We are still waiting to hear from the Grand Lodge regarding whether they approved our by-law change to make this a permanent arrangement.
