And we're off again. Woo Hoo another Elk year has started.
Thank you goes a long way with people. It’s two simple words that carry so much weight and believe me THANK YOU is a lot easier than I’M SORRY.
I could never thank everyone for everything they do for the Lodge and me personally. Everyone does what they can and many times it's things that you don’t see or know that they are doing or being done. So on behalf of the Lodge Thank You for what you do, it is greatly appreciated.
My gut has been in knots the past few weeks, there is something in the air at the Lodge that is making me uneasy, and I’ve learned to trust my gut. Of course, it could be taking ER position for another year. The Corona Virus has been stressing people out, that’s all we have heard about.
It’s gotten overwhelming. Changes at the Lodge can be and are stressful too. We are all dealing with life the best way we know how. I’m learning how things work and appreciate the support. I don’t think I will ever be as knowledgeable as some members at the Lodge, oh who am I kidding? I know I won’t be.
The Lodge is run by members, some with a few years of experience some with decades worth. My name is on a line as ER, but we run the Lodge as a team. Please come to meetings, voice your opinions and or concerns. Get involved.
The Elk’s organization does so much for the community, but the community doesn’t know who we are or what we do. We need to get that information out there. We don’t need to be the best kept secret in town.
Did you know that since the Kinderhook Elks Lodge has been in existence, we have donated over 1.4 MILLION dollars back into our community. That doesn’t just happen. It takes the time and talent of you, our members. Be proud of who you are, what you have done, and where we are headed.
Thank you for everything you do for the Lodge and the community we serve.
